Our tireless and fearless leader, BJ, has been a very busy man. He’s fresh off a night of collaboratively whipping up a barbecue dinner for Master Griller and author, Steve Raichlen, with Chef Sarah Shafer at her Irving Street Kitchen, and now he fixin’ to help feed the whole city—if you’re belly’s game—so that you can, in turn, help feed children in need.

That’s right. It’s May, which means it’s Portland’s turn to host the traveling culinary and charitable roadshow, Taste of the Nation, which is celebrating its 25th year by traveling from city to city to raise funds for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.

And while Beej has often participated in previous Tastes, this year marks the maiden voyage of his virgin spring, meaning this time, he’s in charge of running his own show.

And what will you be eating? Pig, of course, in this case, Pulled Pork Sliders served with a Watermelon Side Salad.

So join us on Tuesday, May 8, from 5pm-9pm, at Jeld-Wen Field (1844 SW Morrison Street) and seek out our booth to get’cher pork on. Tickets can be purchased here.
